Sidekick 640 Mini Thermal Monocular – Handheld or Helmet Mounted

The Sidekick 640 is the smallest fully multi-functional 12-micron 640 thermal monocular on the market.

 

The detector / thermal core is the ArmaCORE 640 x 480, 12um. This unit boasts a fast 60Hz frame rate for smooth operation and industry-best, outstanding visual acuity, based on Armasight’s Iron Wolf thermal technology platform. The The objective lens is 19mm with manual focus and the native optical magnification is 1x with 1-4x digital zoom. The Sidekick is powered by a single CR123A including rechargeable and can use 2x CR123A or a 16650 with the included battery extender (16650 not included), and has a USB-C port for remote power capability using a USB battery pack.

 

The high definition 1024×768 OLED display provides a crisp image, with iconography providing key information. The Sidekick utilizes simplified 3 button controls that allow for easy manipulation in the field and offers one-touch in-unit video recording to capture all of your experiences.

 

Weighing under 250 grams, the Sidekick 640 can be used as a handheld mini-monocular or can be head/helmet mounted utilizing the built-in mini- rail for hands-free operation. It can be paired with another Sidekick 640 to run Dual Thermals or paired with a PVS-14 / Nocturn Industries Tanto / AB Night Vision RVM-14 Night Vision Monocular to run both thermal and night vision at the same time.

 

These can also be used with the optional Armasight MNVD Sidekick Thermal Helmet Mount to use as a helmet mounted monocular.
